Trump News 2024
President Trump has his sights set on winning the Republican Party’s presidential nomination this year, and given his dominance across the board among GOP voters, he’s already all but won.
The newest data tracking the 2024 GOP primary race from Morning Consult found this week that the president has a whopping 63-point lead over former South Carolina Gov. Nikki Haley, giving him 81 percent support for the nomination nationwide.
In light of the overwhelming margin Trump is carrying in the polls, the Republican National Committee was reportedly considering a possible resolution to declare the 45th president as their “presumptive nominee,” per NBC News.
However, President Trump responded to this news on Truth Social with a simple statement.
He said:
“While I greatly appreciate the Republican National Committee (RNC) wanting to make me their PRESUMPTIVE NOMINEE, and while they have far more votes than necessary to do it, I feel, for the sake of PARTY UNITY, that they should NOT go forward with this plan, but that I should do it the ‘Old Fashioned’ way, and finish the process off AT THE BALLOT BOX.”
